Norwich- Eleanor Grace Foley, 90, of Scotland Rd., passed away June 13, 2017 at home with her family by her side.
Eleanor was born October 12, 1926 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Earl and May (Tolson) Blonshine.
She was a 1944 graduate of Norwich Free Academy.
She married James F. Foley September 4, 1948 at St. Patricks Cathedral in Norwich. He survives her.
She was employed with the State of CT Highway Department as well as with the Department of Mental Health. She had also worked at the Norwich Bulletin, Johnson's Flowers and...

Eleanor was born October 12, 1926 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Earl and May (Tolson) Blonshine.
She was a 1944 graduate of Norwich Free Academy.
She married James F. Foley September 4, 1948 at St. Patricks Cathedral in Norwich. He survives her.
She was employed with the State of CT Highway Department as well as with the Department of Mental Health. She had also worked at the Norwich Bulletin, Johnson's Flowers and at the Norwich Technical School.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very down to earth, easy going person. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown, where she taught catechism. She also loved to sew.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her son Scott Foley of TN, daughter Marsha Richardson of PA, brothers James and Richard Blonshine, grandchildren Jamie Snyder and Nicole Dillard and by her great grandchildren Madison and Jackson Snyder and a third grandchild due in November.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers John and Lee Blonshine.
A funeral service will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich, on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
